Obituary
Rose Alfonso(nee Cali), 95, of Cedar Glen West, Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023.
Born in Bronx, NY, she lived in Point Pleasant, NJ and Holiday City Silverton before moving to Manchester 25 years.
Rose was owner of Alfonso’s Restaurant in Point Pleasant, NJ.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River and was an active member of the church’s Rosary Altar Society, Interfaith and Flame of Love Prayer Group.
Rose also volunteered with Caregivers and Meals on Wheels.
She was predeceased by her husband Carmine in 2004.
Rose is survived by her children and their spouses Richard and Christine Alfonso of Toms River, Cira Nickerson and Kim Clark of Rumson, NJ, a sister Virginia Russo of Colorado, grandchildren Melissa(Joseph Freund), Stephanie, Logan(Amber Nickerson) and Ryan(Danielle Pavlis-Nickerson) and great grandchildren Anthony, Danny, Alexis, Jack and Henry.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Monday, September 18, 2023 10:00am at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River, NJ.
Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River is in charge of the arrangements.
