Rosemary Briffa, 87 of Berkeley Township, passed from this life peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Rosemary was born October 5, 1937 in Sliema, Malta to the late Emanuel Bonello and Theresa Summut. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and trusted friend. I met my beloved Rose while she was in high school. Our families approved of our friendship, and we stayed close over the years. When I was 19 and Rose was 18, we got married. She was the jewel of my heart. We built a beautiful life together in Malta, raising five wonderful boys. I often joke that it's my fault we had five sons—four of whom are with us today. One of our boys was called home to Jesus at a young age. The others have since grown up to bless us with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosemary was truly the light of my life. Though she’s no longer by my side, she’ll forever live in my heart. I look forward to the day we’re reunited in heaven. It’s what I pray for every day, especially during Mass, as I watch and pray.
Rosemary is predeceased by her parents, Emanuel Bonello and Theresa Summut. Followed by her son Simon Briffa and grandchild Anthony Briffa. Rosemary deceased brothers Joe Bonello, John Bonello, and her sister Maria Clottin Bonello.
Rosemary is survived by her husband and best friend, Charlie Briffa; sons, David Briffa, Emvin Briffa, Albert Briffa, and Martin Briffa.
