Rudolph “Rudy” J. Gibis, Jr., 75, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Lyndhurst, NJ then Rutherford, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1985.
Rudy was a Truck Driver for many years, retiring from Apex Trucking in Jersey City.
He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River.
Rudy was predeceased by his wife Martina Gibis in 2002 and his son in law Michael Kotun in 2014.
He is survived by his three children Rudolph J. Gibis III of Toms River, Jason Gibis and his wife Dawn of Brick, NJ, Kelly Ewing and her husband Paul of Manchester, NJ and six grandchildren Cherish Kotun, Jason Jr., Madison, Joseph, Bear and Jake Gibis and family friend Linda Frohne.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 10:30am – 11:30am at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
