Obituary

Samuel J. Adams, 60 of Jackson Township, passed from this life surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, January 09, 2022.  Sam was born January 21, 1961 in Vienna, Georgia to the late Delmar Sr. and Gloria Adams.  He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and trusted friend.  He is best described by his family as an honorable family man.  He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, and road trips to Myrtle Beach. Sam was a proud member of the Union Ironworkers Local 11 for over 30 years and enjoyed the friendships he made there. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

Samuel is predeceased by his father, Delmar G. Adams Sr. and brother, Ronald F. Adams.

 

Samuel is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Patricia A. (Philbin) Adams; mother; Gloria S. Adams, daughters, Andrea R. Knox and her husband Tom; Samantha A. Owsik and her husband Chris; son, Patrick J. Adams; sisters, Stella Adams; Charlene Roberson; brothers, Delmar Adams Jr; Mark Adams ; grandchildren, Ryan E. Britton; Sophie R. Knox; Cole J. Owsik; Madilynn G. Owsik; and Dylan J. Owsik, along with numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 12pm to 2pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals DeBow Chapel, 150 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson, New Jersey.
