Sandra L. (Rowley) Levy

Sandra L. Levy (nee Rowley), 67, of Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she lived in Toms River, NJ for 18 years before moving to Manchester over 24 years ago.

Sandra worked as a private nurse's aide & homemaker most of her life. She worked hard and was humble and always taking care of her clients & patients. She always went the extra mile, taking care of people as if they were her own family. If you knew Sandra, she didn’t just work for you, you also most likely gained a good friend. 

Sandra was an avid traveler, enjoyed cruising with her family and trips to Las Vegas every year with her husband. She enjoyed her beach days every week in the summer with her family. Devoted wife & loving mother. Known by many as “Aunt Sandy”, she was one of the most caring and loving woman imaginable. She was always willing to help others in whatever ways she could. She had a funny sense of humor, a unique personality, and was always full of knowledge & wisdom.  Blessed with a razor sharp memory, and a love for connecting with people, she was talkative and could tell you stories for hours. 

Sandy was a strong willed woman and wouldn’t hold back when giving you her honest opinion. Even when maybe you didn’t want to hear it, Sandy could deliver harsh truth with the tact and warmth that only she possessed. She was warm and loving but was firm when needed. She had a strength and grace that is seldomly seen today, and a warmth about her that will forever be an unforgettable mark on this world.

Sandy was known for being down to earth, honest and real, for loving her family, her friends, and god. She was loved and admired by all and will be greatly missed. To have known Sandy is to have known the feel of a warm hug to the soul. 

She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years David A. Levy, Sr. on January 9, 2025, her son Danny Serrano in 2020 & her sister Kathy Van Norde. Sandra is survived by her two children, Meredith Serrano of Toms River and David A. Levy, Jr. of Manchester, and two sisters Dawn Moore of Bayville & Lynn Christensen of Lakewood.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 19, 2025 4:00PM – 7:00PM at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  A funeral service will be offered Saturday, December 20, 2025 9:30am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle, NJ.
