Sara (Lucarelli) Galiano

Sara Galiano (nee Lucarelli), 99 and ½ years old of Toms River, NJ died on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Born in Newark, NJ, Sara is a longtime resident of Toms River.

She worked in Bamberger’s Newark in the accounting department before marrying and becoming a stay-at-home mom. She loved ceramics and gave pieces to everyone she knew. After raising her children and relocating to Toms River, she worked for the Toms River School System in the High School North cafeteria.

Sara was a parishioner of St Justin’s RC Church.

Predeceased by her loving husband Louis, her sister Lucy Salerno (Lucarelli) and her parents Rocco and Alessandra (Mosciola).

She is survived by her daughter Karen and son-in-law Ronnie Smith and son Louis Galiano and daughter-in-law Roslyn. Affectionately known as “Baby Gram”, she is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 11 great grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Mass for Sara on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 11 am at St Justin’s RC Church, Toms River, NJ.
