Shirley A. Spina

“Shirley A. Spina (nee Plamondon), 87, of Brick, NJ, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Greenwich, NY then Brick, NJ for 45 years.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Peter John Spina, Sr. in 2011 and her grandson Christopher Paul Spina in 2002.

Shirley is survived by her five children Eva Tafaro and her husband Tony of South Toms River, NJ, Donna Van Mater and her husband Albert of Clearwater, FL, Peter Spina, Jr. of Bayville, NJ, Adrienne Vollmer and her husband Chuck of Manahawkin, NJ and Daniel Spina of NJ, nine grandchildren Tiffany, Adam, Amanda, Anthony, Danielle, Elizabeth, Brian, Nikki, Bridget, eight great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.  A funeral service will be offered Wednesday, April 9, 2024 11:30am at the funeral home.  Burial to follow at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.”
