Silvio Rizzo, 84 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully at home. Silvio was born March 22, 1939 in Santa Croce, Sicily to the late Pietro and Pietrina Rizzo. His family moved from Sicily to New Jersey when he was 17 years old. He quickly connected with all his friends from Sicily in NJ, maintaining life long friendships that became our extended family. He was a barber by trade….cutting hair at Billy Gs with the Gulino family until his last day on Earth, exactly as he always wished….while moonlighting in production management for the cosmetics industry primarily with the Mennen Co and Calvin Klein Cosmetics. He loved music (he played the piano and accordion) and he also loved crabbing, gardening, playing cards and soccer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Silvio is predeceased by his parents, Pietro Rizzo and Pietrina Vitale Rizzo.
Silvio is survived by his wife, Rosalba DiBlasi Rizzo; daughter Lizbeth Rizzo of Toms River New Jersey; sons, Peter Rizzo and his wife Karen of Los Angeles, California; Nicholas Rizzo and his wife Christine of Phoenix, Arizona; honorary son Paul Rosetti and wife Lori of Hope, New Jersey; sister, Antonina Mariannina Latino and her husband Guiseppe of Scottsdale, Arizona; all his grandchildren: Whitney, Nathan, Nevan, Maceo, Silvio, Sarah, and Maxx; all his nieces and nephews and also many loving cousins in Sicily/Italy and Argentina.
