Theodore "Ted" P. Chletsos

Theodore “Ted” P. Chletsos, 76, of Bayville, NJ, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was raised in North Arlington, and lived in Parsippany for 35 years before moving to Bayville 10 years ago.

He was an English Teacher and Reading Specialist for North Arlington Board of Education.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Ann (Troscianecki) Chletsos.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Phyllis (Carroll) and his three sons: Greg and his wife Anne (DaRoja) Chletsos of Easton, PA, grandsons Joseph, Nicolas and Brandan; Jim and his wife Dianne (Rizzuto) Chletsos of Sussex, NJ, grandsons James, Christian and Liam; and Peter and his wife Cheryl (Davis) Chletsos of Monroe, NY, and grandson Kevin and great-grandchildren Mason and Demi. He is also survived by his beloved brothers and sisters: Gregory (Irene) Chletsos, Thomas (Patricia) Chletsos, Joan Molloy and Carol Smith (Bruce) and his nieces and nephews.

Ted was a lifelong Yankee fan and an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with his family, especially fishing with his sons and grandsons on Island Beach State Park. It was always an adventure fishing with "Pop" and the makings of a good story.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
