Theresa Hope (Mac Neil) Mykytka

Theresa Hope (Mac Neil) Mykytka, 94 of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Township passed away on Friday August 22, 2025 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.

Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ she lived many years in Linden, NJ before moving to Silver Ridge Park North in 1986.

While raising her family, Hope was a homemaker, active in the local schools, community, and political clubs. She also was a Crossing Guard for many years for the city of Linden, NJ. She worked in the office of Mapes and Sprowl in Linden. When Hope moved to Silver Ridge Park North she volunteered for many years on their First Aid Squad. 

She was a member of the Silver Ridge Park North Women’s Club and a parishioner of St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Toms River, NJ.

She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley.

Parents Roderick and Mary (Klecha) Mac Neil, siblings Murdoch, Hugh, Donald, and Margaret Mac Neil.

Surviving are her three children; Steven (Kathy) of Basking Ridge, NJ, Janet Mykytka of Toms River, NJ and Karen Ray of Delray Beach, Fl.

Four grandchildren; Corinne Ray Rochkind (Chad), Stephanie Ray Quijada (Lyle), Haley and Matthew Mykytka. Two great grandchildren Riley and Jovie Rochkind. Many nieces and nephews and dear friends. 

Hope was a loving and giving woman who enjoyed nothing more than being with family and friends. 

She loved being social and active. Her positive, kind and caring presence will be greatly missed. She lived her life with a don’t complain just get up and do attitude that we all admired. 

Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 3pm to 7pm at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass will be celebrated on August 28, 2025 at 10am St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River, NJ. Burial will follow to BG William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
