Timothy P. Shanahan, 75, of Berkeley Township, Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Timothy was born September 04, 1945 at Bushwick Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He was a Loving Husband, Devoted Father, Caring Son and Supportive Brother. He worked for Jersey Central Power & Light in various positions for many years since the 1960's. Before retiring from his employment with the company, his last position was Group Supervisor 2 of Southern District out of Lakewood. Tim served his country honorably in the U S Navy, on the USS Saratoga Naval Ship. He also worked for the US Government for a short period of time. Tim belonged to the Knights of Columbus and went on to make his Fourth Degree , Tim enjoyed Family Camping Trips, watching NASCAR and spending time with his son Hunting, Fishing, Swimming and Scouting. Tim belonged to the Boy Scouts of America, Keyport Troop as a youngster and our son,"TK" belonged to Boy Scouts of America, Troop #66 where he made his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Tim had a great Love of Life and Sense of Laughter! He would often be heard telling a joke or comment that would bring out the laughter in all who knew him. Tim just celebrated his 40th year in AA on December 08, 2020, where he was an active volunteer for many years. He enjoyed meeting and greeting many various individuals and holding conversation with them. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Timothy is predeceased by his parents, Patrick Shanahan and Catherine O'Connor Shanahan, both of Ireland and a Sister, Patricia Green Shanahan of Pasadena, California.
Timothy is survived by his Loving Wife of 44 yrs., Deborah A. Graham Shanahan, Son, Timothy Kyle Shanahan, aka: "TK", Sisters, Meg Mocci of Lewes, Delaware and Kathy Shanahan Bowman of Mt.
