Valerie Ann Bini, 74 of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Valerie was born July 4, 1951, in West Orange, NJ to Peter and Dolores Strumolo. She started off running her own catering business with her cousin when she met her future husband. They married and had two daughters. She devoted herself to her family as a loving wife, attentive mother, and eventually, a proud grandmother to her granddaughters who affectionately called her, “Nan.” Valerie, or “Val” as she was known, had an open door policy and her home was the hub for friends and family. Those who spent time with her received the best life advice and would never ever have an empty plate in front of them. Valerie was an exceptional cook. “Food is life” was her motto. Essentially, Val filled your soul, as well as your stomach. She will be remembered as a person whose heart was always in the right place. She selflessly took care of everyone whose life touched hers. She can best be described as a woman who symbolized great strength; an admirable woman who loved caring for her family, showering them with love every chance she could. Her loss is profoundly felt and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Val, “We love you more than life.”
Valerie is predeceased by her Father, Peter Strumolo Sr. and brother, Peter Strumolo Jr.
Valerie is survived by her mother, Dolores( D’Arienzo) Strumolo; husband, Alan Bini; daughters, Allison Bini-McKennan and her husband Marc; Ashleigh Woods and her husband Craig; sister, Donna Leigh; granddaughters, Mila McKennan and Penelope Woods.
All Services will be handled privately by Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals.
A mass honoring Valerie Ann Bini will be held at St. Joseph’s in Toms River, NJ on August 1, 2025 at 11:30AM.
