William J. Bird

William J. Bird, 78 of Berkley Township, passed away from this life peacefully Friday, November 29, 2024. He was born September 16, 1946 in New Brunswick to the late Thomas and Anne (nee Olah) Bird. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a loyal fan through thick and thin of the New York Giants and Mets.

Bill is predeceased by his grandson Justin and his sisters; Carol Wilson and Jayne Wuy.

He is survived by his wife Maria (nee Mazan) Bird, daughter; Michelle (husband Chris),sons; Joe, Jeff (wife Sharon), and Billy (wife Bonnie),  grandchildren; Melissa (husband Dennis), Danielle, Tristan, Gianna, Greenlee, Lexie, great-granddaughters; Arya and Coraline, siblings; John Bird (wife Lisabeth), Tom Bird (wife Linda), Linda Urban and Debra Bird.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday December 5, 2024 from 11AM to 12:30PM at Timothy E Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. A Funeral Service will be held following the viewing. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bill’s memory.
