William Sohl

William Sohl, 82 of Berkeley Township, passed away on Monday, July 14th, 2025. He was born on January 23, 1943 in New Brunswick, to the late Charles and Rose Sohl. Known to his loved ones as Bill and Pop Pop, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. William is predeceased by his parents, Charles E. Sohl and Rose Mary O’Donnell, and his brothers Tommy and Chucky.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Bongiovanni Sohl, and their two sons, William and his wife Lori of Manchester, and Jon and his wife Lisa Chappell of Allentown. He is also survived by his grandchildren Steven and his wife Marissa, Matthew, William, and Amy.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army, was an active member of the VFW, and was Commander of American Legion post 148. In his free time, Bill enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Rams, Golf on Sundays, and showed his love for the outdoors by partaking in hunting and fishing outings. Known by everyone to be a funny and charismatic man, he will be missed immensely.

Burial will be held at 1pm, July 30, 2025, at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey.
